Cool idea, but it kind of seems like you rushed the hand part of it. I can't really tell if it is supposed to be the foliage or the bark or what. It's like an uncomfortably ambiguous middle between the two. I would look at bonzai pictures and really nail the reference. Also lose the cuff unless you can do it naturally. It doesn't make sense to have it look like something else but really be a tree but still force something onto it that doesn't belong. Does that make sense?
